Coffex Coffee Malaysia introduces MONO Origine to tackle climate change and promote sustainable practices in the coffee industry.
The growing climate emergency is marked by erratic weather patterns and increased temperatures, affecting not only the cultivation of coffee and the management of forests but also exacerbated by non-sustainable methods within these fields. This destructive loop threatens the economic security and social unity of communities dependent on these industries. In response, Coffex Coffee Malaysia is proud to launch a campaign called MONO Origine, aimed at combating these climate challenges. This initiative focuses on promoting sustainability, ethical sourcing, and enhancing awareness about the adverse effects of non-ethical farming practices on the environment and the coffee sector globally.

Kelvin Ngow, the pioneer of this movement, expressed his enthusiasm for the mission: “We believe that sustainability and ethical practices are the future of the coffee industry. Through MONO Origine, we aim to educate and inspire others to join us in our commitment to a sustainable and ethically sourced coffee supply chain.”

- Industry Insights: The event will spotlight major figures in the coffee industry, including Jason Loo of Contour and Terence Ho of Zus Coffee, who will share their inspiring journeys and achievements.
- Ethical Sourcing: A deep dive into the importance of ethical sourcing and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance in the coffee industry, discussing how these practices can boost farmers’ incomes.
